Anger Management GamesAnger, management and games are three different words that in its own nature, does not correlate between each other. However, when we put the three together, anger management games might just be the best thing around. Anger is known as the most outrageous feeling, the emotion that has the most tendencies to get very visually and physically active. How better to manage it than playing games? The purpose of anger management games is very simple. Get angry prone people to be active, without being angry. It is easy to get active, but to not get angry is a whole different thing. That is why a lot of these games are group oriented games. Whether we realize it or not, we tend to get shy for being angry in public. Having a group of people playing anger management games help in managing the anger that boils up from the game. For people with the tendencies to get physical when they get angry, digital games that can be played in a group will work wonders. Believe it or not, Nintendo Wii is a great anger management games tool. To enjoy a game, one has to feel concentrate. Sooner or later, they will have to let go the anger in order to win the dance battle against virtual Britney. This is what games are all about. Enjoy the game as it is, and not to take it personal. However, the purpose of anger management games will not be fulfilled if the participants end up bottling the anger and release it at a different time. Anger management does not only apply to people who express it. It also applies to the people who suppress the anger. It is harder to work with people who bottle it up than the other way round, since it is hard to predict their reactions towards the games they play. These individuals put a lot of emphasis on personal achievements. Therefore, games with several levels of difficulties or stages suits them best. They need to feel that they have achieved something from the game. That way, they would be able to feel happy too for successfully completing a game. As the game gets harder, they will learn to control themselves in order to complete the game. It is amazing how determination and self achievement can win against anger. One misconception about anger management games is that it works as an easy way out when you feel angry. Indulging in this idea might just hurt you more, and anger might just be impossible to control, let alone manage from there. The games should be about how to control anger and not about running away from it. Anger is a natural feeling, and it is absolutely normal to feel it. It is when you do not know how to manage anger and decided to run away from being responsible on how you feel that things start to get bad. Anger management games should be helping instead of backstabbing. |
